Can I Go Swimming With a Yeast Infection?

Do you need an answer to the question, “Can I go swimming with a yeast infection?” then read on…

Many people end up dealing with a yeast infection at some point in their life. The most common type is the vaginal infection, and many women end up having a yeast infection at some point during adulthood.

While these infections are rarely a serious health issues, they can be very uncomfortable and frustrating. One of the most common questions that women have when they have a yeast infection is, “Can I go swimming with an infection?” So, let’s take a look at the answer to this question.

The short answer is, “Yes.” You can go swimming when you have a yeast infection with no worries. While there are some considerations to keep in mind, swimming is not something that you have to take off of your calendar. First of all, it is important to understand that swimming in chlorinated water can actually lead to an infection, since the chlorine can disrupt the balance in the vaginal area, but this does not mean that swimming is off limits to you.

In answer to the question, “Can I go swimming with a yeast infection,” the answer is yes with some cautions. You see, if you do decide to go swimming while you have a yeast infection, there are several things to keep in mind. When you go swimming, it’s important that you get out of your bathing suit as soon as possible after you are done swimming.

The bathing suit when it is wet can end up promoting the growth of yeast, so you need to get out of it right away. Also, make sure that you dry off really well and especially make sure that the vulva area is completely dry. This way you won’t end up with a yeast problem that gets worse because of the excess moisture.

When people ask, can I go swimming with an infection, often they want to know if they are going to contaminate the pool. The answer is no. You see, there are plenty of chemicals in pools that will make sure that you cannot transfer your problem to someone else. So, it is safe to go swimming without worrying that you’ll pass your infection on to someone that you are swimming with.

So, yes, you can go swimming, although you should be very careful about taking care of yourself when you’re done. Get the bathing suit off quickly, dry off good, and you should be just fine when you decide to get in the pool.

Get Rid of Candida For Good

Vaginal yeast infections are caused by an over abundance of Candida yeast found in the body that multiples and concentrates itself in the vaginal area. The characteristic symptoms of the condition are uncomfortable and unpleasant to deal with.

Due to the high presence of the yeast in the area of the vagina, the vulva becomes, swollen, red, and irritated. This irritation leads to a burning and itching sensation in the area that tends to intensify when urinating.

Another common symptom is an abnormal and unpleasant vaginal discharge. While normal female discharge is clear, quite runny, and odorless, it becomes thick, whitish or yellowish in color, and ‘yeasty’ smelling when infection occurs. Naturally, these uncomfortable symptoms lead many to question how they can get rid of Candida.

The first, though not necessarily most efficient, remedies are topical treatments. Available over-the-counter, these topical treatments come in many forms. The first is the douche. This product claims to cleanse the vagina, implying that it will also cleanse the yeast from the vaginal area.

However, it is important to keep in mind that the balance of the vagina is an extremely delicate one. In the end, douching can actually wash away other beneficial bacteria needed to control yeast, therefore possibly causing more harm than good, and even leading to more irritation.

Secondly, there is the anti-itch cream. While the creams and gels can aid in controlling skin irritation, they must be applied frequently if any relief is to be found at all. This process can be cumbersome, and an ointment that coats the vagina is uncomfortable and difficult to tolerate in itself, in addition to the already uncomfortable skin irritation of the yeast infection.

There are other, better remedies that can be used in order to more efficiently get rid of Candida. When the actual cause of the yeast infection is taken into consideration, it becomes evident that various lifestyle and environmental changes need to be made in order to prevent against recurrent yeast infections.

The condition is a direct result of there being too much Candida yeast being produced by the body and concentrating itself in the vaginal area. Therefore, it is essential to lower the yeast production rate within the body.

This can be done by careful awareness to certain foods that increase yeast production within the body, as well as certain other environmental factors such as clothing and personal hygiene that can enable yeast to survive more easily. These are just a few of the many lifestyle changes that can be made in order to get rid of Candida and successfully prevent recurrent yeast infections.

Candida Cleanse – Natural and Effective

Looking for real information on a natural Candida cleanse? You’re not alone!

A Candida infection is what is more commonly known as a yeast infection. Though both men and women can be afflicted, the most common type is the vaginal yeast infection.

Symptoms include an abnormal discharge, as well as inflammation of the vaginal area. The discharge is often yellowish or whitish in color, thick, and has a noticeable odor that varies from woman to woman. This first symptom is accompanied by a burning or itching sensation in the vaginal area caused by the excess of yeast found there.

Since the symptoms can be uncomfortable and problematic, it is only natural to seek a remedy. Many search for some sort of Candida cleanse, or some way to rid the body of the yeast that is causing the infection.

Most over the counter remedies offer this treatment in a form that claims to physically wash away the yeast. The most common form is the douche. Though the approach may seem to make sense, a sort of cleansing system that will wash the yeast away, this is not always the case. The vagina has a very delicate balance, and oftentimes douches can actually do more harm than good. By douching, you tamper with the natural balance of the vagina, which can actually cause more irritation.

Instead, a Candida cleanse that involves the whole body is more beneficial than just the topical cleansing procedure of douching. What exactly does this mean? It means that focus should be put on cleansing the body of excess yeast, before the actual skin irritation occurs. But first it is important to understand how daily habits can actually effect the level of yeast found in the body.

For example, specific foods can increase yeast production. In addition, certain types of clothing and personal hygiene habits can increase yeast production by creating an environment in which it more easily survives. When considered from this perspective, it becomes evident why it is important to focus on a Candida cleanse that involves the entire body.

While topical creams can soothe skin irritation that has already occurred, it does not treat the root of the problem. It does not lower yeast production so that the problem does not occur again and again, eventually becoming a recurrent problem.

For long term results it is essential to focus not on a candida cleanse the yeast from the skin, but lowering the production rate, and therefore cleansing it from the body by lowering its overall presence. In this way, the root of the problem is treated.

NDRC: Natural gas shortage relieved

NDRC: Natural gas shortage relieved

The situation of gas shortage has been eased, the Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China’s top economic planner, said in a statement posted on its website Monday.
A surging gas demand after the uncommon freezing weather has caused gas shortage in China’s central and eastern regions, and the government is taking emergent measures to tackle this issue, Zhang Guobao, vice minister with the NDRC and director of the energy bureau, said Monday.
An additional 1 billion cubic meters of gas was in need despite the West-to-East transmission projects of natural gas had delivered 17 billion cubic meters, said Zhang.
Related departments were urged to guarantee residential and pubilc sector gas usage, according to the statement.
The government of Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, suspended natural gas supply to companies and taxi gas stations on November 17 to ensure stable supply to local residents. It also pay 100 yuan (14.6 US dollars) daily subsidy to some 8,300 cab drivers, who have to turn to gasoline due to the gas shortage.
Gas producers were encouraged to pump at maximum rates. Daily gas output of PetroChina, the country’s largest oil and gas producer, reached 182 million cubic meters from November 1 to 20, up 22 percent over the same time last year.

Banks warned of big volatility in lending

Banks warned of big volatility in lending

China’s banking regulator on Monday asked the country’s commercial banks to better manage risks and avoid year-end volatility in lending.
Commercial banks should ensure that lending increase was kept in a stable and sustainable pace, the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) said.
Financial institutions with low capital adequacy ratio and no practical remedy plans would face restrictions in various sectors such as overseas investment, branch increase and business expansion, it said.
The CBRC called for enhanced inspections in financial system to detect problems after surging loan extends between the fourth quarter last year and the second quarter this year.
In October, new yuan-denominated loans in October were down 51 percent from September, according to statistics from the People’s Bank of China, the central bank.
China’s yuan-denominated loans in the first 10 months this year totaled 8.92 trillion yuan (1.31 trillion US dollars), far exceeding the government’s target of 5 trillion yuan for this entire year.
The CBRC denied media reports which claimed that the banking regulator would impose lending controls on commercial banks and require big lenders to increase the capital adequacy ratio to 13 percent, compared with the current 11 percent on average.
“There is no such requirements from the CBRC,” it said in a statement on its website.

Automobile industry flexing muscles

Automobile industry flexing muscles

China’s prosperous auto revolution will influence the look, design and type of car everyone will be driving in the not-so-distant future.
The world’s largest market has always determined the type of vehicles we drove and for more than 50 years America was king of the road.
Industry veterans recall those happy days of glistening chrome, winged chariots and high horsepower, but as Europe, Japan and South Korea joined the US as cradles of mass production, cars became more influenced by accountants than design engineers.
A new auto king has risen and as Chinese car companies feed the aspirations of hundreds of millions in the middle class, cutting-edge technology, fresh designs and new life are blossoming.
These new cars are proudly displayed at the seventh China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition that opens to the media on Nov 23.
The show’s themes of “Technology, Trends, and New Life” sum up today’s events perfectly. Beijing and Shanghai auto shows may have higher international profiles, but expos like Guangzhou really show off the important details, those nuts and bolts of China’s motoring miracle.
At last year’s show, Geely Automobile launched its first mini car, the Panda (Xiongmao). The 1.3-liter, 41,800 yuan car is part of an array of mini subcompacts designed for urban driving. Expect these to be powered by batteries very soon.
Also in 2008, Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co debuted a new concept car under the joint venture’s own brand Linian.
The company will start building its first unique model next year as will Guangzhou Automobile in the shape of the VIP Lounge, a mid-size concept sedan. These are just two new cars are strangers to the world, but not for too much longer – and more are on the way.
Auto shows in China – and there are about 20 every year – influence Chinese consumers much more than they do in developed nations.
A recent survey showed that local new car buyers rely on word-of-mouth advice from family and friends first and auto shows second. The Internet is in third position.
TV and print media don’t have the same impact and Chinese car sales people have yet to gain real credibility. Why would anyone listen to the advice of a young salesman who may not own a car and may not even have a driver’s license?
The Guangzhou expo comes at an auspicious time, just one month after China’s 10 millionth vehicle, a Jiefang (Liberation) truck, rolled off a FAW assembly line. The J6 model truck was a symbolic statement of what the nation’s auto industry needs to continue its dynamic and determined progress.
The showcase vehicle wasn’t a flashy sports car, a buffed-up SUV or a cute subcompact. It was a six-wheeled workhorse built to haul goods from the factories to the market place. As any proud truck driver will tell you, trucks not only move goods, they also move economies and drive a nation’s prosperity.
But the J6 was not just any truck. It was wholly designed and engineered in China and reflects the rising spirit of Chinese innovation through scientific development.
It is Liberation in every sense of the word because it shows Chinese companies are working smarter, not just harder.
In early 2006, FAW opened a new 250,000-sq-m, $180 million state-of-the-art truck assembly plant in Changchun, capital of Jilin province in northeast China, but the company’s best engineering minds had already been working on something very special.
FAW did not want to keep borrowing ideas from the West and committed 13 billion yuan to develop its own vehicle brands.
FAW liberated its thinking and a new generation of motor vehicle was born. It is somewhat fitting that the Jiefang truck was chosen as such a pioneering vehicle because in 1956, a Liberation truck was the first set of wheels made in new China.
Borrowing from the Soviet truck model, which borrowed its looks from the American 1940s International Harvester, it carried 4 tons and hit a top speed of 65km/h.
The 2009 J6 is from another automotive planet and before it was released 97 test models were driven 3.6 million km in the most extreme conditions.
Test models were pushed on frozen roads of Mohe in northern China, ran red hot in the tropical heat of Hainan island, before being exposed to the driest of conditions in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Finally, the truck journeyed west to the roof of the world across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
In 2007, the all-new J6M sparkled and featured a brand-new 12.5-liter, 250kW engine. It was the first world-class truck to be independently designed and built by a Chinese truck maker featuring that magic mix of American power, European comfort and Chinese characteristics.
FAW says the J6M puts China on the global stage with established brands from Europe and the United States for the first time as a serious contender in the premium long-distance truck segment.
The Liberation is also a metaphor for Guangdong province, which too has labored as a workhorse for the nation and is now hosting a spectacular auto show.
Guangdong is responsible for moving China forward, but its swarm of factories are also blamed for causing damage to the environment.
China has been boosting investment and offering incentives to accelerate the development of fuel-efficient and eco-friendly vehicles and it is fitting that battery and electric car producer BYD Automobile Co Ltd has just opened a new plant to make batteries in Huizhou in Guangdong.
The carmaker with strong support from billionaire Warren Buffett said the 5 billion yuan plant will enable it to mass produce electric cars. Chinese authorities hope to have 500,000 green cars on the roads by 2011. When this eco motoring evolution begins millions of these green vehicles and other Chinese designs will follow.

Fei Manqing realized early that a partnership with a leading global brand can be a shortcut for Chinese small business owners. Fei also entered a market that is attracting many leading multinational companies – China’s booming automotive aftermarket sector.
Fei signed a contract with ExxonMobil Corp, the world’s largest publicly traded oil and gas company, in 2004 to become a member of the ExxonMobil Esso Oil Change Center and then joined its Mobil 1 Car Care network in 2006.
She received hundreds of thousands of yuan to redecorate her stores, as well as management and training support from ExxonMobil.
“Now we have unbelievable monthly revenues of more than 500,000 yuan, four times the figure in 2004 before we joined hands with ExxonMobil,” said Fei, general manager of Shanghai Chejie Automobile Technical Service Co, which has 60 auto service stores in Shanghai.
Like ExxonMobil, rival Shell Oil Co also is expanding its aftermarket presence in China.
“Although the 3S (sales, service and spare parts) and 4S (sales, service, spare parts and survey) stores are still the major distribution network for Shell lubricants, we see a bright future in China’s emerging auto fast-service industry,” said Shen Jian, general manager of Shell Lubricant China.
In July, Shell celebrated the opening of its 100th high-end auto service store. Now Shell has 1,200 chain stores in China.
ExxonMobil last month opened a new Mobil 1 Car Care Outlet, bringing to 1,000 the number of the company’s professional car maintenance outlets in the country.
“The opening of the 1000th outlet affirms the expansion of the Mobil 1 Car Care Outlet network and brings ExxonMobil a significant step closer to its commitment of enabling trouble-free driving nationwide,” said James Hennessy, vice president of ExxonMobil Lubricants &Petroleum Specialties Co.

Shiamas helps Alexandre Zouari Paris open new outlets. [Asiannewsphoto]
Chinese women enjoy strong purchasing power when it comes to luxury hair accessories, according to an agent for a top French brand.
They are often the quickest to respond to hair accessory designs by Alexandre Zouari Paris, Alice Wong, general manager of the accessories division of Hong Kong-based Shiamas, told China Business Weekly.
Shiamas serves as the international agent for hair accessory products of Alexandre Zouari Paris, which was created by the fashion designer of the same name. The brand comprises salons, spas, beauty products, jewelry, fashions, perfume and a fashion magazine.
Since last June, Shiamas has launched 20 Alexandre Zouari Paris hair accessory stores in 12 Chinese mainland cities, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou, via cooperation with regional agents.
Shiamas operates eight stores in Hong Kong, six in Taiwan and one each in Australia, Doha and Paris.
Shiamas also is planning to open stores in Beijing, with long-term plans to operate 30 to 40 stores in China within the next two to three years, Wong said.
Wong added that Shiamas plans to open six stores in Japan this year.
Alexandre Zouari Paris hair accessory products sold on the mainland cost 100 yuan to 30,000 yuan, although the average price range is 1,200 yuan to 1,600 yuan.
Mainland clients of Alexandre Zouari Paris range in age from their teens to 60s, but most clients are in their 30s and 40s, she said.
Those women have relatively high economic independence, educational levels and knowledge of international brands, Wong said. They include professionals and entrepreneurs.
“I am fully confident about the mainland market, given its great potential,” Wong said.
She described the mainland market as a dragonhead in Asia, where income per capita keeps growing every year.

New costs anger homebuyers

A group of homebuyers have been slapped with a total of 10 million yuan in additional costs after the developer miscalculated the floor space of their Beijing apartment building.
Homeowners are threatening to sue well-known Taiwan architect Chuang Yao-shan, who designed the Xinbao Riverbank Manor in southern Beijing’s Xuanwu district, and investment company Xinbao Property Development Corporation.
A total of 396 apartments were sold in the building and buyers were charged 20,000 – 27,000 yuan per sq m. However, residents were told recently that they each had to pay between 3,000 – 60,000 yuan for their apartments.
Xinbao Property Development Corporation told residents that it had miscalculated the floor space of the apartment building and its construction incurred higher than expected costs.
Xinbao is one of the first buildings in Beijing to be designed by a Taiwanese architect. Chuang also designed the National Taipei University in Taipei.
Julia Chen, a 32-year-old bank employee, who bought a two-bedroom apartment covering 97 sq m in July said she was told she had to pay an additional 60,000 yuan for her apartment when she went to pick up the keys in October.
“It’s not a small sum for my family,” Chen said.
“The most ridiculous thing is that the sales staff had asked us to put a down payment and take out a loan based on floor space, but now they charge additional fees,” said Chen.
“Besides the additional area fee, the developer also asked us to pay deed tax and capital repair fund which should not be until we get our property ownership certificate.”
Qin Bing, the lawyer who has been contacted by the owners of Xinbao and may take the compensation case, told METRO the area was a miscalculation related to the balcony.
On the drawings, the balcony is semi-covered and it was totally enclosed when constructed.
“For a half-closed porch, it charges half the price of a totally closed one,” Qin said.
“Every year, there are more than 100 cases on disputed additional area in Beijing. Owners should pay attention to this when they sign the contract,” said Qin.
Pi Tao, a Xinbao saleswoman, denied the charge for additional space was a disguised price increase.
Pi said the area difference between architectural blueprint and its construction is a universal phenomenon. “Such an area error is acceptable according to laws,” she said.
About 100 property owners have established an online chat group on QQ social networking site.
“I’ve already bought all my furnishings and used up all my savings. I have no money to pay the so-called additional area fee,” an owner surnamed Tang said in the QQ group.
